Scope is built by a small team, and the people who write the software answer the email. There’s no ticket queue and no phone line. Write to the address for your app, and a person reads it and replies, usually within a day or two.

Before you write

Many problems have a quick fix. Try these first:
  • Check the troubleshooting guides and the FAQ.
  • Scope extension: update to the latest version from the Chrome Web Store, and then reload your Canvas or Brightspace tab. This clears up many problems.
  • Lectra: update to the latest version from the App Store.

Contact support

You can write about bugs, questions, account help, feature requests, or how your data is handled.

Scope extension, Lectra, and your account

Email canvascopeextension@gmail.com. You can also start from the support pages on the Scope website: In Lectra, you can find the Support link in Settings > Account, under Privacy & Data.

Polya

Email hello@askpolya.com, or see Polya’s contact page. For privacy requests, such as removing your Canvas connection or your account, write from the email address you sign in to Polya with.

What to include

These details get you a faster answer:
  • Which app you were using, and its version. To find the version, see Find your app version.
  • Your device and system. For Lectra, include your iPad or iPhone model and its iPadOS or iOS version. For the extension, include your computer and Chrome version.
  • Your school and the course, if the problem is with search, importing a course, or a missing file.
  • What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
  • A screenshot or screen recording, if the problem is something you can see.
Don’t send passwords, your school’s sign-in details, Canvas access tokens, or API keys. Support never needs them and will never ask for them.

Find your app version

In Chrome, go to chrome://extensions. Find Scope and click Details. The version number is listed under Version.

Report a problem from inside an app

  • Polya practice questions. If a practice question in the Study tab looks wrong, select Report a problem with this question under it. You can add a note, such as “the answer looks off”, and select Send report. Polya stops showing you that question. To learn more, see Prepare for an exam.
  • Everything else. The Scope extension, Lectra, and Polya chat don’t have a built-in bug report form. Email support instead.
