## What happens to your data

| Where | What happens |
| - | - |
| This browser | Your course index, recent searches, pins, notes, to-dos, settings, and saved lookups are removed with the extension. |
| Your Scope account | Stays. Anything kept with your account, such as your student profile and the files you sent to Lectra, is still there if you sign in again. |
| Lectra on your iPad | Nothing changes. Documents you sent stay in your Lectra library. |
| Your Google Calendar | Events Scope added stay on your calendar. Delete them in Google Calendar if you don't want them. |
| Your Google account | Scope keeps access until you remove it. To remove it, go to your Google Account and remove Scope from the list of third-party apps and services with access. |
| Canvas | If you connected Canvas, delete the access token in Canvas under **Account** > **Settings** > **Approved Integrations**. |

To delete your Scope account and what's kept with it, see [Your Scope account](/get-started/account).

## Turn Scope off without removing it

If you only want to pause Scope, go to `chrome://extensions` and turn off the switch on the **Scope** card. Your data stays, and you can turn it back on later.

## Install it again

To come back, install Scope from the Chrome Web Store. See [Install the Scope extension](/chrome/install). Open your course site once and Scope finds your courses again.
